Teaching & facilitation
Mentorship and collaborative learning are an important part of my creative and community practice. I love teaching, leading project-based courses, or designing and facilitating field trips and workshops for students or other groups. I prefer to lead experiences where it is possible to get outside with community, learning in and from place.
I also frequently visit college classes and symposia to speak about my artistic work, creative water advocacy, public art collaborations, or designing community spaces and engagement for climate resilience and environmental justice.
I’ve been an adjunct Liberal Arts instructor at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design (MCAD); Taught project-based courses with faculty at the Perpich Center for Arts Education Creative Writing Program, the University of Minnesota College of Design, Environmental Studies at Macalester College, and the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA) Writing and Art for Social Change programs; And have designed and led a distinguished practitioner course for the Nomad 9 MFA program of Hartford College.
Send me a note through the form on this page if you’re interested in discussing teaching opportunities or class visits.
